MANLA FAME 2012
Are you an avid fan of
exhibits? Well, I must say, I am! Attending exhibits is both mind-cultivating
and culture moving. Thus, when a good
friend of mine whom I had the same flight going here in Manila, Junnie Artajo,
invited me to visit his display during Manila Fame 2012, I gave my word.
Manila F.A.M.E. (Furnishings and Apparel
Manufacturers' Exchange) International is a bi-annual trade show organized by the Center for International Trade
Expositions and Missions, the export
promotions arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Last 17-20 October 2012, Manila FAME, Asia's Design and
Lifestyle event, highlighted the Filipino artisans and their craftsmanship as
the soul of the country for its 56th edition.
God knows how Mr. Dong Olmedo (Visual Merchandising Head) and I squeezed
out our time during breaks from training just to pay a visit to the event. Few personalities
were seen like Boy Abunda (who looked at me head to toe), Mich Dulce, Amina
Aranaz, Reese Fernandez-Ruiz, and Angel Aquino who did an interview with super
brilliant Kenneth Cobonpue.
