CHRISTMAS SEASON FROM UP NORTH DOWN TO QUEEN CITY OF SOUTH

As I am talking to you right now, I am currently listening to Adele’s Hiding My Heart song sent by someone whom, let’s just say, I miss so much way back home. Okay, enough. Lemme take these earphones away…

Anyhow, how was your Christmas, everyone? Was it gawjuss, naughty, or nice? HAHA. Mine was the simplest. I tell you, from working on a holiday (CHEERS TO THAT!) to very rush grocery shopping to late at night going home to hearing holy mass before midnight down to preparing for Noche Buena, everything was nothing but just a simple yuletide celebration. I was with my lovely folks from work at our staff house; two kids visited us, and endless hearing of fireworks around the vicinity. Oh, I miss seeing fireworks display for real!

So, allow me to take you to places where I have been seeing holiday decorations, may it be a Christmas tree, a reindeer, lights, gift boxes, and even a village of hope this Christmas season from up north of Luzon Island down here in Queen City of South!

ENJOY!!!

HUMBLED 23rd BIRTHDAY

An already grown up person is talking to you right now.

T’wasn’t that shining, shimmering, glamorous and all birthday party. I tell you, t’was the most humble birthday ever.

Woke up at 7 o’clock in the morning, had pasta for breakfast, prepared myself, and VOILA! said hello to my workplace. YES! I was working the entire day of my birthday and needless to say, worked over time until 10 o’clock in the evening, then went home, and just a couple of minutes t’wasn’t my  birthday at all. Take that!

Some said, “Oh, you should take your birthday leave”,  “Treat yourself somewhere good”, “Shop a lot, dine at buffet area, and party ‘till you drop”, blah, blah, blah. Well, all ended up working my ass and doing my responsibilities as an employed individual. I almost wanna puked, I mean, cried. Y’know, just to express how you miss that ‘ol great themed-up glamorous birthday parties while dancing on the floor with your bitches-best of friends all together holding glass of vodka and singing to the loudest scream...ever. Ah, I miss all of those!

Moses knows how I missed planning out my birthday parties even a year before it, scouting for either the hippiest bar or the coolest hotel restaurant in town, sending out my personalized birthday invitations, trusting every new fashion designer each year for my birthday suit, conceptualizing theme, and most especially, choosing only the best of the best people whom will be my guests. I missed every single drop of vodka that runs through my esophagus and let the house music take you somewhere you have never been before. Don’t judge me now. I am not saying somewhere else’s bedroom, I mean, somewhere in the middle. HAHA.

Now, the most down-to-earth moments were: I cooked pasta, prepared fruit cocktail, toasted bread, sliced ham, and a bottle of wine, I did all of those a night before my birthday to spend counting minutes to seconds down on 19th of December. Also, I had a pizza party with the two Mango –Cebu stores and please don’t ask me now…I never got to treat myself out. I was so exhausted after a day’s set-up for the end-of-season sale at work and worst thing? too much exhaustion that even my family way back home and my mama in Israel, I wasn’t able to make a single call nor responded to their messages but the crack of midnight calls, messages, e-mails, tweets, posts, and personal birthday greetings, they were all reminded me, not just that I am already 23 years old but most especially, I know that I am well loved.

I remember when someone from the staff approached me asking what was the best gift I received on the day of my birthday…I smiled and replied, my dream job :)

Above all, God knows best and oh, also mom. HAHA.

Everything happens if not for a great reason, greater reason!

Keep posted. I love y’all!

WELCOME TO QUEEN CITY OF SOUTH

I must say, free time is so hard to find these days. I arrived here in City of Cebu late at night last Friday, 14th of December, and then went to work the next day. Huh!

So, the lovely folks at our staff house welcomed me by having a very sumptuous buffet midnight dinner at the Port Restaurant in Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino!

DREAM JOB

Who knew all roads lead to Queen City of South? Never in my life I thought I’d travel and work miles away from home to live a life that’s a dream to many. YES! Peculiar may it sounds, here I am, blogging from my new home here in Island of Visayas. I have relocated in City of Cebu, one may perhaps say I am a Cebuano now; a Cebuano who doesn’t understand profound Visayan dialect, TRUE!, like that of a deep throat! HAHA.

It has been my childhood dream to work (Okay fine. Not as a nurse but God knows how thankful I am to become newly registered one) in a fashion industry. But who would have thought I’d end up in a company where both my mama and I love since primary years, Mango. I can still remember my first Mango item I received as a gift from her, red quilted leatherette backpack sporting along the hallway of our school like t’was already end of the world and don’t judge me now, I was just in my 6th grade that time. HAHA.

I LOVE FASHION, I REALLY DO! As I always say, I inhale fashion and exhaling style. And it’s not a doubt, I am now working in a fashion industry.

justjovitz_DREAM JOB

Two months of staying and having my exclusive training in Manila has been such a wonderful journey, some of you are living proof how  t’was a good foundation of ladder in working my way up here in this position. I handle both visual merchandising and window dressing departments here in Cebu Mango stores, Ayala and SM. Alright, hold your breath now. I AM INTO MERCHANDISING!!! Who the person on earth can imagine shifting career from being a registered nurse to becoming a merchandiser? No one but only your gayest bestfriend! HAHA.

My unparalleled experience for being a freelance fashion designer and stylist way back in Davao was truly a great help to me in pulling this all out into window dressing. YES! The one that you can see in Mango stores parading mannequins in their most glamorous outfits and positions facing y’all from inside the window...THAT’S ALSO MY JOB!!!

Crazy weeks have passed by and yet I am still on cloud nine. Traveling city to city every day during my stay in Manila and now, here I am in Cebu, FINALLY LIVING MY DREAM JOB!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is something that you are so excited to get out from your bed, hit the shower, put on your most fashionable clothes, and VOILA! hit the runway!

Take it from me, don’t just go to work for the sake of having a work, go to work because you enjoy and you definitely love going to work. After all, we should be growing while working to say that we are living our life to the fullest. Why settle inside the office getting yelled by your boss? Why stay up late at night answering international calls even if you don’t even like it? Why serve those bitches in the malls? Why assist such complaining whore inside your store? not unless you want these things happen to you every day, then, go with it. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY ON YOUR JOB, LEAVE IT!

IT IS JUST SO HEAVEN TO FINALLY LIVE THE LIFE I WANT! SEE? I SAY TO YOU, DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!

Wish me luck! I love y’all!
